From Struggles To Progress: Chiesa Determined To Make His Mark At Liverpool

Federico Chiesa has opened up on a difficult debut with Liverpool and his determination to prove his worth with the club. Following his first full 90 minutes in Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat to PSV Eindhoven, the winger narrated his frustrations since moving from Juventus for a fee of £12.5 million. Chiesa has received praise during the game for his meticulous work rate and involvement, including being a penalty awardee and providing an assist to Harvey Elliott’s goal. Amid ongoing rumors of his return to Serie A, Chiesa insisted he is committed to Liverpool and thanked the coach and staff for allowing him to complete the match.

Chiesa Determined To Prove Himself At Liverpool After Frustrating Start

Federico Chiesa expressed relief and determination after playing his first full match for Liverpool, stating during that interview how crucial it was for his development. Putting everything into perspective considering a tough start at the club, Chiesa conceded that he’d been itching from the day he arrived at the club to prove himself, but injuries and other setbacks prevented this from happening until now. Post-match, he accepted that there was work to do, but also in him. Chiesa talked about wanting to be part of the team and further put pressure on himself, especially since Liverpool was fighting for four trophies but with another injury setback for Diogo Jota. He thanked the coach for the opportunity and promised to be ready when called upon in future.

Chiesa Looking Ahead To FA Cup And Embracing Liverpool’s Ambitions

Federico Chiesa is looking to get the next one underway. He is poised to begin against Plymouth in the FA Cup on February 9. Looking back on his past Arsenal experience, he stated that he enjoyed playing alongside world-class players in a focused and ambitious group that wants to challenge for several titles, including the Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. Chiesa acknowledged that he had endured some moments when getting game time was tough, yet he was glad that this time, the moment had finally arrived. He was very positive about the overall club setup and the terrific support of their fan base. Anfield is the pinnacle of football for players, and it makes him proud and excited.
