Swara Bhasker is one such actress who never shies away from sharing her thoughts and opinions on social media. From her controversial tweets to her shocking revelations and statements, Swara has been on the upfront for a long time. However, she has often found herself in legal trouble. And recently, another FIR was filed against the actress for “allegedly encouraging hate and enmity between religious groups.”

The case has been filed in lieu of the tweets that Swara and the others shared after a Muslim old man was beaten up and was forcefully made to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’. Swara, in her tweet, had written, “Agree. I can believe a bunch of Muslims beat up an old Muslim man but forced him to chant #JaiShriRam cut off his beard?! That really the whole story? Anyway.. Love how Sanghis r conveniently ignoring the prime accused that Pravesh beat the old man & forced him to chant!.”

And now, a complaint has been filed against her and in the same, the complainant has mentioned that Swara and the others shared a video in which the elderly man was beaten up and forcefully made to chop off his beard. As per the complaint, it was also mentioned that the miscreants were from a Hindu religious group and they made Abdul Shamad Saifi chant Jai Shree Ram and Vande Matram against his wishes.

The complaint stated these as users have lakhs of followers on social media handles, the celebs should be responsible and through their Twitter handle they started “propaganda to spread hate amongst the citizens”.

“The tweets did not indicate their personal opinions instead showed wrong intentions of the users to initiate conspiracy against religious harmony in the country to encourage hate and enmity between the religious groups. Also, these tweets were shared on social media at a very large scale and thousands of users have liked, Quoted, and also Re-tweeted the same,” reads a part of the FIR.

A part of the official complaint reads as, “Also, these tweets were shared on social media at a very large scale and thousands of users have liked, Quoted and also Re-tweeted the same. The users knowingly shared the false information and have thereby committed offenses under IPC sections: 153, 153A, 295A, 505, 120B and 34. The screenshots of the tweets are annexed herewith as “Annexure A”.”

The complaint has been filed in Tilak Marg, New Delhi and it is left to be seen how Swara will react to the same.
