Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has now extended its deadline for employees, which comes as good news for everyone. The EPFO has extended the last date to activate the Universal Account Number (UAN) under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme. The new deadline to activate your UAN is now June 30, 2025.

“Please refer to the circulars mentioned under references. In this connection, the competent authority has granted an extension of timeline for UAN Activation and AADHAAR seeding in Bank Account till 30th JUNE, 2025,” the EPFO said in a circular dated May 30. The original deadline announced for completing this task was on November 30, 2024. Since then, the PF organisation has extended the deadline multiple times.
What If The Process Isn’t Completed By June 30, 2025?
Activating your UAN by this date will make your life easier. If you don’t link it with your Aadhaar and bank account, you won’t be able to receive the benefits available under the ELI Scheme. EPFO beneficiaries can activate their UAN online by visiting the EPFO Member Sewa portal. The process is simple and involves following a few easy steps on the website. This allows employees to access various online services related to their Provident Fund account.

Step 2: Click on ‘Activate UAN’ under the ‘Important Links’ section
Step 3: Enter the required details, including UAN, Aadhaar, date of birth and phone number
Step 4: Enter the OTP received on the registered number and complete the process
