Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15% of his match fees and given one demerit point after he breached the ICC Code of Conduct. He was found guilty for breaching the article 2.5 which states “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”

He has been fined after the dismissal of Ben Duckett, he went and celebrated close to him and made contact as Duckett was walking towards the long room. Siraj has also been handed one demerit point and this has also been added to Siraj’s disciplinary record as this was his second offence in 2 years (24-month period), now his tally has 2 demerit points.

It is also important to note that when a player receives four demerit points within the 24 month period then they will be counted as suspension points and the player will be banned.

The third Test at Lords Test has been filled with drama and with England all out at a mere score of 192 in the second innings. This was possible after Washington Sundar picked four wickets and ripped apart England’s bowling lineup followed by Jasprit Bumrah (2 wickets), Mohammed Siraj (2 wickets). While India on the other hand has already lost 4 wickets in the second innings and still 135 runs are left to be chased.

Now all eyes will be on KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant to stabalize the innings and take India towards iconic victory at Lords Cricket Ground.
