A special show of Emraan Hashmi’s movie ‘Ground Zero’ was hosted for BSF soldiers in Srinagar . BSF Jawans watched the film with Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, film’s director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and the team of ‘Ground Zero’. The producers Ritesh Sidhwani and his wife Dolly Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar, and co-producer Arhan Bagati also joined the screening.

In this movie, Emraan Hashmi will be seen playing the role of a BSF commandant, Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. Sai Tamhankar will essay the role of the officer’s wife. The movie is set in the early times of 2000s in Kashmir. It depicts an important mission led by the BSF officer, Narendra Nath Dubey, to catch a dangerous terrorist named Ghazi Baba. While speaking to ANI, Emraan shared about the making of this movie, which is completely dedicated to the Border Security Force (BSF).

He said, “This is the first time a film has been made solely to honour the BSF.” The actor further added, “We have seen stories based on the Indian Army and police before, but Ground Zero is a tribute to BSF officers, their courage, and the sacrifices they have made for the country. That, in itself, is a significant milestone.”

He further mentioned that the mission shown in the film is crucial in India’s history, as it is not only important for entertainment but also a source of awareness. “It’s a mission that played a crucial role in safeguarding the nation. The story deserves to be told, and more importantly, it deserves to be seen,” Emraan said. The film is made by Excel Entertainment and is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. ‘Ground Zero’ is directed by Tejas Deoskar, while it is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Taslisman Films, Abhishek Kumar and Nishikant Roy. The movie will be released in cinemas on April 25, 2025.
