Elon Musk Blames Ukraine For Massive Cyberattacks On X

Billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk alleged that a massive cyberattack on social media X (formerly Twitter) had a connection with a Ukrainian link. While speaking to Fox News, Musk said that he is not certain what happened, but the cyber attack that brought down X globally had an IP address originating from the Ukrainian region.

Earlier, Musk had alleged that they have been targeted every day, and the social platform is being targeted in coordinated groups with the involvement of other countries.

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing,” he wrote on X.

Different parts of the world witnessed the outage on March 10, including Asia, Europe, and North America.

Musk’s statement came after X faced a significant outage, with thousands of users worldwide reporting issues, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks online outages.

Musk explained while claiming that the attacks were carried out by computers whose IP addresses had digital footprints linked to Ukraine.

Over 40,000 users experienced outages, and a few reported the connection was intermittent throughout the day. One individual wrote on the Downdetector site, “Musk needs to fire himself. Terrible on running “X”.
