EC announces Bypolls for 8 Assembly seats in 7 States: Check voting and counting dates

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced the schedule for bye-elections to eight Assembly constituencies across seven states. The poll panel said that the votes will be counted on November 14, 2025. The bypolls will be held in the following constituencies: Tarn Taran in Punjab, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Anta in Rajasthan, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha, Budgam and Nagrota constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.

Along with the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, by-elections will also be held for eight assembly seats across seven states, the dates for which were announced today by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar announced the by-election dates and the full schedule at a press conference held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.
