In a record-breaking encounter at the Delhi Premier League on 31st August, Saturday, South Delhi Superstarz’s opening pair Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya, set a new T20 record with a mammoth 286-run partnership against North Delhi Strikers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The game was indeed a treat for the fans to watch as the explosive batting crumbled many historic records.
Superstarz posted an imposing total of 308/5 in their 20 overs to outdo the previous second-highest T20 total of 287/3 set by SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024.

The South Delhi Superstarz set up an enormous total of 308/5 in their 20 overs, which established the second-highest score in T20 history, just behind Nepal’s 314/3 against Mongolia in the Asian Games 2023.

Both Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni scripted their name in history as they set a new record with 286-run partnership, which is the highest ever.
Their recent batting onslaught propelled them to set a new record for the highest partnership ever in T20 cricket, surpassing the previous record held by Japan’s L Yamamoto-Lake and K Kadowaki-Fleming.
Additionally, they eclipsed the 229-run stand between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers from IPL 2016, establishing the highest T20 partnership involving at least one Indian player.
Most Number Of Sixes In A Single T20 Innings
Ayush Badoni mounted 165 runs from just 55 deliveries and broke the record of legendary cricketer Chris Gayle. He smashed 19 sixes in a single innings. He surpassed Gayle who previously held the record when he hit 18 sixes in 2017 IPL and made a massive personal score of 146.
Most Sixes Hit By A Team In Single T20 Match
South Delhi Superstarz hit a total of 31 sixes which is now the highest. The team crossed Nepal’s record of 26 sixes in a T20 match.
Priyansh Arya Smashed 6 Sixes In An Over
South Delhi Superstarz opener Priyansh Arya delivered a standout performance, smashing 10 boundaries and 10 sixes to score 120 runs off just 50 balls. Notably, Arya hit six consecutive sixes in a single over bowled by Manan Bhardwaj. This impressive achievement places Arya alongside Indian cricket legends Yuvraj Singh and Ravi Shastri, joining an exclusive group of players who have hit six sixes in an over.
