Conducted in the run-up to the highly-awaited season, the auction was presented by sports anchor Shefali Bagga and saw franchise owners, scouts, and cricket enthusiasts gather for a day of team-making and strategy in the most enthralling way.

Simarjeet Singh was the scene-stealer as the costliest acquisition of the day, purchased by Central Delhi Kings for a whopping Rs 39 lakh.

Nitish Rana and Digvesh Rathi were some of the big-money acquisitions too, highlighting the franchises’ desire to bet on tried winners.

The auction wasn’t just about experience, there was a clear focus on youth.
