DMRC Announces First Delhi Metro Fare Hike In Last 8 Years – Check New Ticket Prices

After 8 years, DMRC has raised the fare prices for the Delhi Metro. Starting August 25, passengers will have to pay revised fares to travel across Delhi. The fares have been increased in the range of ₹1 to ₹4 on all metro lines, while on the Airport Express Line, the hike ranges between ₹1 and ₹5. The minimum fare is now set at ₹11, while the maximum fare has been fixed at ₹64.

As per the new fare chart, journeys within 0–2 km will now cost ₹11 instead of ₹10. For longer distances, such as 21–32 km, the fare has been revised from ₹50 to ₹54, while for those traveling over 32 km, the fare has gone up from ₹60 to ₹64.

The changes also apply to Sundays and national holidays, where fares remain slightly lower than on regular weekdays but have still been increased by ₹1–₹4.

DMRC has pointed out that the adjustment is modest but necessary to support operational costs. Travelers can check the updated fares on the official Delhi Metro website, including details for the Airport Express Line.
