Diljit Dosanjh’s Quirky English Steals The Show In ‘Border 2’ BTS: ‘Because Of Witty Weather, Shooting Is Delayed’

Diljit Dosanjh has now joined the star-studded cast of Border 2 for the third schedule of the film, which is currently underway at the National Defence Academy in Pune.

He treated his fans with a BTS video on Instagram where the video opens with Diljit heading toward the film set in rainfall. He says, “It is very witty weather, it is drizzling.”  And after reaching the set, he joked, “Sandese ate hain aur sandese jate ahain aur hum bhi aa gaye hain set pe.”

As the rain caused a delay in the shoot, he was seen relaxing and enjoying the weather. He joked, “Because of witty weather shooting is delayed. Me enjoying the weather.” Later, he met the cast and crew and shared a cheerful update, saying, “All the cast, producers, and the director all joined together in one place, let’s go.”

Diljit can be seen greeting the crew including Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, and then later posed for a group photo with the team.

Sunny later shared that photo on Instagram to announce the new filming schedule. “When all ‘Forces’ Come together! #BORDER2. Diljit Dosanjh; Ahan Shetty join Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan as the battalion kicks off the 3rd schedule at Pune’s National Defence Academy!” the caption read.

He further added, “On-ground, they’re joined by Producers Bhushan Kumar & Nidhi Dutta, Director Anurag Singh, Co-producers Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi, as the film moves full throttle! Mark your calendars: Border2 hits theaters on Jan 23, 2026!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Diljit’s Sardaar Ji 3 teaser dropped recently where he can be seen in a ghost hunter avatar. The film is set to release on June 27,2025. The trailer for Detective Sherdil also dropped earlier, sparking excitement among fans because as Diljit is playing a detective instead of his usual fun loving characters alongside Diana Penty.
