Ranveer Singh’s latest film 83 has been lauded from all quarters. The Kabir Khan-directorial, which was released on December 24, 2021, also features Deepika Padukone and has been given a thumbs up by legendary cricketers like Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar and many others. Another celeb who is all praise for the film is TV star Nakuul Mehta. 

Taking to Twitter, Nakuul shared how it took the release of 83 for him to go to a theatre. Besides congratulating Kabir Khan, Nakuul went on to thank Ranveer for his “art.” He wrote, “It took #83theFilm to finally get me back to a theatre after 2 full years and Oh boy was it worth it! Thank you @kabirkhankk for this cinematic gift. To the greatest chameleon of our generation/all time @RanveerOfficial, thank you for your art! The boys played SO WELL”

Ranveer reacted to the immense love poured in and revealed that he and Nakuul have actually taken acting courses together during the initial days of their career. Recalling their “struggling days,” Ranveer replied, “Thank you, dear brother! We’ve certainly come a long way from the acting courses together during our struggling days! 

83 is based on the inspirational story of the Indian cricket team of 1983 when they won the historic ICC World Cup. Ranveer played the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev and Deepika played his wife, Romi. 

A few days ago, Ranveer wishes Kapil Dev on this birthday and shared a picture in his 83 avatar with him. In the caption, he went on to write, “Happy birthday to the original Sakht Jaan @therealkapildev what an honour it’s been embodying your champion spirit on screen!”

Meanwhile, Ranveer has several projects in the pipeline. He will feature in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Alia Bhatt. He also has Jayeshbhai Jordaar co-starring Telugu actress Shalini Pandey. He later has Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus with Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. 

Last year, Ranveer made his television debut as the host of the reality quiz show, The Big Picture.
