‘Devara’ has finally hit the theatres after creating massive hype among the fans. The movie is performing exceptionally well at the box office and is looking forward to breaking records as well. Starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, ‘Devara’ is a period action drama, set in the 1970s and ’80s era. After recording huge numbers within its first day, the movie has reached another milestone worldwide. Check the second-day collection of ‘Devara’ and its third-day prediction.
Devara Box Office Collection Day 2:
‘Devara’ has already crossed Rs 200 crore globally within two days of its release and has collected Rs 243 crore worldwide in total.
Meanwhile, talking about its India collection, ‘Devara’ earned Rs 38.2 crore, according to the website Sacnilk. The movie has collected Rs 120 crore in total in India in all languages.
As per Sacnilk,‘Devara’ has collected Rs 15.39 crore approximately on day 3 (Sunday) till now. The numbers are expected to go much higher and the movie will cross Rs 250 crore worldwide by day 4.
Apart from Jr NTR, the movie stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles in their Telugu debut.
While speaking to Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar for a fun chat, Jr NTR had high praise for Saif Ali Khan’s performance in ‘Devara’ and said that it reminded him of ‘Omkara’. Praising Saif, the actor said, “Saif’s character is…I don’t know I was so excited seeing him while watching the movie. I just remember that immediately when I saw the film and when I saw his performance, I went back to Omkara. He gives you that vibe and he was outstanding in that movie. I don’t remember when I actually saw him that fabulous.”
Saif Ali Khan earlier expressed his gratitude towards Jr NTR and the team of ‘Devara’ for welcoming him into the Telugu cinema with open arms and also praised the crew for being kind to him. He said, “Lovely people, I must say. Your unit and the crew – it was such a pleasure to work with everyone. So polite and kind – it was the nicest experience ever. Thank you for being so welcoming and amazing.”
Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie also stars Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko and Narain in supporting roles. ’Devara’ will also return for its second instalment but its official release date has not been announced yet.
