The teaser of the upcoming film Dacoit is out now, and it looks intense. The movie is directed by Shaneil Deo, marking his debut, and stars Mrunal Thakur, Adivi Sesh, and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles. It will release in theatres on December 25 on Christmas.

The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang. The story and screenplay are written by Shaneil Deo and Adivi Sesh together. It is shot in both Hindi and Telugu. It tells the story of a convict who wants revenge after being betrayed by his ex-girlfriend.

Taking to their social media handles, the team of Dacoit dropped the teaser of the film and captioned it, “A reunion with ex. Bittersweet? No. Catastrophic? Hell, yeah! #DACOIT IN CINEMAS WORLDWIDE ON DECEMBER 25th.”

Earlier the film was set to feature Shruti Haasan in the lead role and she even shot a promo but exited the project due to creative differences. Mrunal Thakur stepped into the role soon after.

Speaking about her role with media, Mrunal shared, “Dacoit’s story is true and beautifully blends rustic storytelling with the stylised vision of both Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. The character I will portray allows me to explore dimensions I haven’t delved into before as an actor. This unique blend of genre and narrative makes Dacoit an exciting project for audiences. I can’t wait to immerse myself in Shaneil’s envisioned world.”

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur is gearing up for the releases of ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ and ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. She’s also playing a key role in Son of Sardaar 2, the sequel to the 2012 hit with Ajay Devgan.

Meanwhile, Adivi Sesh rose to fame by playing negative roles in films like Panjaa, Balupu , and the blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. His other fan favorites include Kshanam, Goodachari, Evaru, Major, and HIT: The Second Case.
