Indian comedian Samay Raina and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as Beer Biceps, have been in the news due to ongoing controversy for several weeks. We get daily updates about the legal case, and there is an important new update from the Maharashtra Cyber Security Cell about the situation. This update is for India’s Got Latent host, Samay Raina, who is currently out of the country.

Statement From Cyber Cell

YouTuber Samay Raina has asked the Maharashtra Cyber Cell if he can record his statement using video conferencing because he is currently out of the country. However, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has said no and stated that he must record his statement in person. They have summoned him to do this tomorrow, February 18.

Where Is Samay Raina?

Raina is in the US and has said he cannot return to India before March 17 due to other commitments. However, the Cyber Cell has ordered him to appear in person on February 18, making everyone curious about whether he will return to India.

Mumbai Police Gave Relief To Samay Raina

Samay Raina has received an extension from the Mumbai Police concerning his scheduled questioning. The police initially planned to conduct the questioning on February 17 and 18. However, due to his absence from the country, the deadline was extended to March 10. On that date, he was summoned for questioning; however, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell declined his request for additional time.

About The Controversy

For the unversed, the episode of India’s Got Latent, which Samay Raina hosts, invited a group of influencers that include Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchalani, and Apoorva Makhija as the judges.

Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent,” faced controversy because of comments made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. During the show, he asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents having s** or join in once and stop it forever?” Many people were upset by this comment. As a result, a formal complaint was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the organizers of ‘India’s Got Latent.’

Samay shared a statement on his Instagram Stories. He said he removed all videos of the show from his channel and is “fully cooperating” with the authorities. He stated that his only goal was to entertain people.
