Credit card holders of different banks are going to be affected by new rules which are set to be introduced from April 1, 2025. The new rules will include lesser rewards, annual fee waiver, and updated benefits. Air India SBI Credit Card, SimplyCLICK SBI Card, Axis Bank’s Vistara Credit Card and others are going to see changes with the implementation of new rules. Here’s a look at key changes for credit cards holders.

Air India SBI Credit Card: Reward Reductions

Air India SBI Credit Card holders will face major reductions in rewards. The Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card will offer 5 reward points per Rs 100 spent on Air India bookings. This has been brought down from 15. While the Signature card will give 10 reward points per Rs 100 spent, which is down from 30. This change will affect regular flyers who use SBI’s co-branded Air India credit cards for travel benefits.

IDFC First Bank: Annual Fee Waiver

While Air India SBI Credit Card holders will face reductions in rewards, let’s see what IDFC First Bank has to offer to its customers. IDFC First Bank will waive annual fee for 1 year for customers who renew their cards after March 31, 2025. However, it is important to note that key travel benefits, including Vistara perks are discontinued.

SimplyCLICK SBI Card

SimplyCLICK SBI Card holders will now face reductions in Swiggy rewards. They will get 5X reward points on Swiggy, which has been dropped from 10X. However, 10X benefits will apply to Myntra, BookMyShow, and Apollo 24.

Revisions By Axis Bank For Vistara Credit Card

Axis Bank is set to update its Vistara credit card benefits following the merger of Vistara into Air India. The rules will be effective from April 18, 2025. Annual fee will be waived for renewals but several perks will be discontinued.

(Note: Customers are advised to check the updates on credit cards on official website of banks for more accuracy)
