Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday wrote a letter urging the corporate sector to join hands with the Jharkhand government for the vaccination drive against COVID-19 infection in the state.
In the letter, the Jharkhand chief minister has appealed to all companies that are functioning in the state to ensure awareness and bear the cost of vaccination of communities especially within those under the 18-45 age group, living in their CSR operational area.
“The State Government believes that everyone is entitled to the “Right to Life” and hence is committed to providing vaccine to all its citizens free of cost irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. It is the need of the hour that the Government and the Corporate sector come together in the interest of public health,” the letter read.
“This will ensure that all the eligible citizens are vaccinated at the earliest. You will have the assistance of the Government of Jharkhand in terms of logistics in this noble endeavour. Together we will fight. Together we will win,” it added.
