Court Grants Allu Arjun Exemption: No More Sunday Hearings, Actor Free to Fly Abroad

Actor Allu Arjun has been in the news recently following a tragic incident at the Sandhya Theatre. During a screening of his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule, a stampede occurred, tragically resulting in the death of a woman and leaving his son seriously injured.

In a recent legal development, Arjun received positive news from a court in Nampally regarding a case related to the incident. His lawyer requested the court to modify the conditions of his bail, and the court approved the request. As a result, Arjun is no longer required to visit the Chikkadapally police station every Sunday as part of his bail conditions.

The court granted this adjustment due to safety concerns raised by his lawyer. Furthermore, the court has granted Arjun permission to travel abroad. This decision was announced just a day before he was due to report to the police station again. Notably, he has already complied with the initial bail condition by visiting the police station once, as per the court’s earlier decision.

Allu Arjun’s Arrest Flashback

Arjun was arrested by the police at his home in Jubilee Hills on December 13. Initially, he was sentenced to 14 days in custody by a local court. However, the High Court later granted him bail for four weeks, and he was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail on December 14.

Following his release, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, along with the police, criticized the actor. On January 3, the local court granted Arjun regular bail, requiring him to pay two deposits of ₹50,000 each. As part of his bail conditions, he must check in at the police station every Sunday and is prohibited from leaving the country.
