Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday arrived in Jaipur, Rajasthan to attend the BJP state working executive committee meeting. He was received by former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, ex-minister Gulab Chand Kataria and Rajasthan BJP chief Satish Poonia.

During the working committee meeting today, BJP’s organisational review, upcoming action plan, complete farmer loan waiver, electricity, health, education, unemployment, law and order, the strategy and mission of the movement among other things were discussed in detail.

While addressing ‘Janpratinidhi Sankalp Sammelan’ in Jaipur, Amit Shah predicted a resounding victory for his party in the next Assembly elections in the state.

“BJP will win 2023 Rajasthan Assembly polls with a 2/3 majority. This useless and corrupt Ashok Gehlot govt must be rooted out in time from Rajasthan and BJP should govern,” he said.

Training guns at Congress, he said, “Congress hear me out, instead of ‘Gareebi Hataao’, you did ‘Gareeb Hataao’. Modi govt constructed toilets and provided gas cylinders to more than 11 crore and 13 crore households, respectively; we gave medical facilities of Rs 5 lakh to 60 crore poor.”

Before leaving for Jaipur, Amit Shah met Bhairo Singh Rathore, who played a crucial role in India’s historic victory in the 1971 war with Pakistan. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present during the meet in Jaisalmer.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the Union Home Minister said, “I was privileged to meet the 1971 war hero Bhairo Singh Rathore, who was posted at Longewala during the war, in Jaisalmer today. Your valour and love for the motherland has created history and immense reverence in the hearts of the countrymen. I bow down to you.”

Shah is on a two-day visit to Rajasthan. He is scheduled to address the public representatives conference which will involve panchayat Samiti members, Zilla Parishad members, district heads, deputy chiefs, pradhans and deputy pradhans, MPs, MLAs.

During his visit to the Rohitash border outpost, Shah said that he will stay near the India-Pak border for one night which is “an effort to understand and reduce the problems that the BSF personnel face here.”
