CNG Price Hike After 9 Months! IGL Raises Rates By Rs 1 Per Kg In Delhi—Check For Other Cities

 Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL), the natural gas distribution company has announced a price hike for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Rs 1-3 per kilogram in Delhi. Recently, the price of CNG was increased by Rs 1 per kg. Now, an additional increase in the rate of CNG from Rs 1 to Rs 3 per kg has been announced. This hike marks the first CNG price increase in Delhi in the last 9 months. Delhi market had not witnessed CNG price hike since June 2024. Delhi Contributes 70% to IGL’s Total CNG Sales, rest 30% comes from other markets.

Following the price revision, CNG is now priced at Rs 76.09 per kg in the national capital. While in Noida and Ghaziabad, it is priced at Rs 84.70 per kg.

Notably, the IGL had increased CNG prices for markets other than Delhi in November 2024.

CNG Price In Other Major Cities

The price of CNG in Mumbai is Rs 77 per kg.

The price of CNG in Bengaluru is Rs 89 per kg.

The price of CNG in Hyderabad is Rs 96 per kg.

The price of CNG in Chennai is Rs 90.5 per kg.

The price of CNG in Ahmedabad is Rs 80.98 per kg.

The price of CNG in Uttar Pradesh is Rs 92 per kg.

On Monday, 7th April, the stock market saw an uptrend. Indraprastha Gas Limited’s stocks experienced movement. An increase of 1 to 3 rupees per kg has been announced in the price of CNG. The price of CNG will increase by 1 rupee per kg in Delhi and 3 rupees per kg in other cities.

It is important to note that CNG prices in Delhi are majorly dependent on the prices of natural gas available in countries including Russia, the United States of America and OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries).
