In a major anti-terrorism operation linked to investigations into cases related to terrorist recruitment and terror financing that pose threats to public order and national security, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out extensive searches at multiple locations across four districts of the Kashmir Valley .

the searches were conducted at ten different locations: one in Pulwama district, six in Ganderbal, one in Srinagar, and two in Budgam. The coordinated operation was carried out in the early hours and involved teams of CIK personnel backed by local police units.

Officials said that the searches aimed to retrieve incriminating material, both digital and physical, that is crucial for the investigation of cases related to the organized module of terrorist recruitment and financing being operated from across the Line of Control (LOC) by a terrorist commander named Abdullah Ghazi. Sources indicate that the searches are part of a larger crackdown on networks believed to be aiding or abetting anti-national activities.

In Ganderbal district of central Kashmir, which witnessed the highest number of raids, the action focused on locations suspected to be linked with individuals under surveillance for their alleged roles in the terrorist module operated from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) through Abdullah Ghazi. Similar operations were also undertaken in the outskirts of Srinagar and selected areas in Budgam and Pulwama, each chosen based on inputs developed during ongoing investigations.

A senior police officer confirmed the raids but refrained from revealing the identities of those being questioned, he said that several pieces of evidence, including incriminating material, mobile phones, pen drives, and laptops, were confiscated.

Officials further said, based on the confiscated material, further raids and detentions are expected in the coming days to dismantle the entire terrorist module operated by this terrorist commander, Abdullah Ghazi.
