Christopher Nolan’s Next Film To Be Titled ‘The Odyssey’; Release Date OUT

Christopher Nolan will soon return with another intriguing project after the grand success of ‘Oppenheimer’. After much speculation about his next film, production house Universal Pictures has officially announced ‘The Odyssey’ and gave some details about the film’s plot. Several big Hollywood stars are rumoured to join the star cast.

The Odyssey Release Date:

‘The Odyssey’ will release in theatre on July 17, 2026.

Announcing the film, the official page of Universal Pictures wrote on X, “Christopher Nolan’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.”

About The Odyssey:

‘The Odyssey’ will be based on Homer’s foundational saga, which tells the story of the Greek god Odysseus as he goes on a journey from Troy to Ithica. According to reports, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron will join the film.

Christopher Nolan was recently in the news as he and his wife Emma Thomas were honoured by King Charles III for their contribution to the cinema. Sharing the pictures from the prestigious ceremony, the official X page of The Royal Family wrote, “Arise, Sir Christopher Nolan and Dame Emma Thomas! Congratulations to all who received honours during today’s Investiture ceremonies, including film director Christopher Nolan and film producer Emma Thomas. The couple was recognised for their extraordinary contribution to Film, with their partnership producing major blockbusters such as The Dark Knight trilogy and Oppenheimer.”

On the work front, Christopher Nolan last directed ‘Oppenheimer’ and the Academy Award for the Best Director. The movie stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.
