Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi is undoubtedly one of the most loved celebs in the South Indian film industry and the star never fails to win over people with his kindness. Recently, he has promised to fund the cancer treatment of a fan named Venkat.
Venkat, who met Chiranjeevi at his office on Tuesday, explained his health condition to the megastar. Despite his busy schedule, Chiranjeevi spent some time with him, tried to understand more about Venkat’s health condition.
Venkat revealed to him that he is battling cancer and is unable to bear his medical expenses. Chiranjeevi promised that he would finance Venkat’s medical treatment. The Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy star also saw the medical reports of Venkat and advised him to seek a second opinion from a private hospital in Hyderabad.
The megastar had referred Venkat to the hospital, after which he even asked his team to update him on the case. Chiranjeevi also helped Venkat by giving him Rs 2 lakh for his immediate expenses.
Tollywood film producer Bandla Ganesh shared this news via Twitter, and wrote, “Bigboss @KChiruTweets helped a fan who was recently taken ill. Venkat, from the Visakhapatnam district, has been battling cancer for a few years. Megastar assured venkat family that he will pay for the treatment himself.”
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is currently taking a break after his recent surgery. He will be seen next in Mohan Raja’s Godfather. The film is jointly produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Godfather is an official Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit film Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal, Manju Warrier and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Chiru will also be seen playing the lead role in Acharya, which is directed by Koratala Siva. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in important roles For the first time, Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan are coming together in full-length roles in this film, which is to be produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company.
The megastar will soon start shooting for his next film, titled Bhola Shankar. The mahurat of the film will be held on November 11. Directed by Meher Shankar, the shooting of the film begins on November 15.
