Nushratt Bharuccha impressed the audience with her intense performance in Chhorii and is all set to return with its sequel. Soha Ali Khan has official joined the star cast and will be seen as an antagonist. After officially announcing the sequel, the makers have officially unveiled the teaser of Chhorii 2 and announced its release date.

Chhorii 2 OTT Release Date:

Chhorii 2 will release on Prime Video on April 11, 2025.

Chhorii 2 is set seven years after the events of its first part and will again focus on Sakshi, who is living peacefully with her daughter, Ishani, far from the horrors of their past. However, Ishani suffers from a rare condition that forces her to live in darkness, as sunlight could kill her.

Things take a turn when a ghostly figure appears in Ishani’s room and she disappears. With the held of Inspector Samar, Sakshi goes back to the haunted village to find Ishaani and comes across Daasi, a shape-shifting priestess.

Manish Menghani, director of content licensing at Prime Video India, told Variety, “With ‘Chhorii,’ we introduced audiences to a story that was deeply intriguing yet emotionally powerful. The film struck a perfect chord with cinephiles of the horror genre, blending fear with folklore in a way that felt fresh and authentic.”

He added that the sequel would be darker, more intense, and replete with more twists and turns. Meanwhile, Vikram Malhotra, founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, which is one of the production house working on Chhorii 2, also talked about the sequel. He said, “The overwhelming love and appreciation for the first film encouraged us to expand this universe with ‘Chhorii 2,’ where the horror intensifies, and the battle for survival becomes even more personal and dangerous.”

The movie also stars Saurabh Goyal, Gashmeer Mahajani, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, Hardika Sharma
