Chhaava Leaked Online: Vicky Kaushal has returned to the big screen with his historical action film ‘Chhaava’. The movie has been receiving good response and had created hype ever since its announcement. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles, Chhaava is based on the life of Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. However, the movie has unfortunately become victim to piracy within a few hours of its release.

According to reports, Chhaava has been leaked online on the pirated illegal sites such as Tamilrockerz, Filmyzilla and more. It should be noted that piracy is a criminal offence as per the Copyright Act of 1957. Such activities should be avoided at all the cost and the audience should also refrain from downloading movies from pirated websites. Such offense can also cause the loss to the production houses.

About Chhaava:

Vicky Kaushal played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the eldest son of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Kingdom. Akshaye Khanna is seen as Aurangze, the sixth Mughal emperor. Rashmika will star as Maharani Yesubai, who was the wife of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

While speaking to Mid-Day, Director Laxman Utekar talked about his decision to make this movie. He said, “When I started reading about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, I realised that he was a great warrior, but no one has made a film on him.”

“Most books on Sambhaji are in Marathi, and not available in any other language. That could be a reason why a film or series on him has been rarely attempted. Not many filmmakers could read extensively about him,” he added.

The movie also stars Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, and Santosh Juvekar in pivotal roles. It is produced By Dinesh Vijan under the banner Maddock Films and co-produced by Sharada Karki Jalota and Pooja Prem Patheja. Meanwhile, the screenplay is done by Laxman Utekar, Rishi Virmani, Kaustubh Savarkar, Unman Bankar and Omkar Mahajan.
