Ukrainian footballer has been provisionally suspended from football after testing positive for a dope test by the FA. He had been out of the Chelsea squad since 28th November, sidelined for health issues. According to many sources, it has been revealed that he had tested positive for Meldonium. Meldonium is a medication used to treat heart conditions, it also enhances stamina and endurance for athletes.
It has been confirmed by Chelsea that the FA had contacted the club regarding an adverse finding in a routine urine test of Mudryk.
FA’s testing is equally supported by the club and the players of the club, including Mudryk. He also admitted he had not taken any banned substances on purpose.
Sources confirmed that the club and FA had been working collectively on the issue. Chelsea will be working with relevant authorities to establish what caused the adverse finding.
Although Mudryk denied any involvement regarding the allegations.
Mudryk’s Statement
Mudryk, on his Instagram handle, uploaded an explanation saying that he had tested positive for the usage of a banned substance but denied all the allegations. He was not indulged in any activities related to doping and never knowingly used any drugs.
He remained hopeful and wanted to be back on the pitch as soon as possible.
