Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will lose state elections from both Assembly constituencies.
Addressing a press conference in Punjab’s Amritsar, Kejriwal said, “Channi saheb is contesting election from two seats – Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur. We have conducted a survey thrice, Channi saheb is losing badly from both seats”.
The AAP chief said that his party will get 52 per cent votes in Chamkaur while Channi is getting 35 per cent votes. In Bhadaur, AAP will get 48 per cent votes while Channi is getting 30 per cent votes, Kejriwal claimed, citing the survey.
“When he (Channi) won’t become an MLA, then who will become the Chief Minister?” Kejriwal said.
The AAP chief also said that his party CM face Bhagwant Mann will do a “fair investigation” on sand mining after winning the polls.
“Channi sahab did an investigation on himself. When Bhagwant Mann will become CM, he will do a fair investigation on sand mining. When his relative has confessed that all the money belongs to Channi, why is ED not arresting him?” Kejriwal said.
Channi on Saturday was given clean chit over the allegations of illegal mining in his Chamkaur Sahib Assembly constituency.
After getting the clean chit, the Punjab CM slammed Kejriwal and called him a “liar.”
“Arvind Kejriwal is a liar…tried leveling several allegations against me, but none were true…They complained to the Governor (against me), he ordered an inquiry. Truth prevails,” said Channi.
“British had come to loot India, likewise, Kejriwal and his Delhi family such as Raghav Chadha and other outsiders have come to loot Punjab. But Punjab will show them their place, as it did to Mughals, British,” he added, PTI reported.
