Champions Trophy 2025: Unveiling Iconic Venues & Pitch Type For Cricket’s Grand Showdown

As ICC officially announced the fixtures and groupings for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which is set to kick off from February 19 in Karachi, with the grand final scheduled for March 9.

There will be eight-teams who will feature in 15 thrilling matches across two places – Pakistan and Dubai. In Pakistan, the cities of Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi will host the games, with each venue featuring three group-stage matches. Lahore will also host the second semi-final, as well as the final, unless India qualifies, in which case the final will move to Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.

Gadaffi Stadium (Lahore, Pakistan)

Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium was established in 1959, is one of Pakistan’s premier cricket venues. It has hosted numerous international matches, including World Cup games in 1996-edition. The stadium boasts a capacity of 27,000 and has witnessed legendary performances, with notable batting and bowling feats. The first ODI match was played in stadium was between Pakistan and England in January 13, 1978.
