Real Madrid easily won 3-0 against Stade Brest, qualifying for the seed draw in the Champions League playoffs. Rodrygo netted a double, having opened the scoring in the 26th minute and surely put it into bags in the 78th minute. Jude Bellingham had already scored a second after the break with brilliant work straight off a pass from Lucas Vázquez. Brest also advanced to the playoffs like an unseeded team despite the defeat, playing in its first European campaign. With this victory, Real Madrid stamped their 28th consecutive seasons of being in the knockout stages of the Champions League while this win set their continuous form to five matches as they line up a high-stakes game against either Manchester City or Celtic in the next round.

First Half: Real Madrid Takes Early Lead Against Brest

Real Madrid ended the first half with a 1-0 lead over Brest, with Rodrygo scoring a goal for the Spanish side in the 27th minute after a left-footed shot bounced into the lower right corner following a set-up from Luka Modric. The match was full of lively action, with Brest creating their chances: one of them very early on was saved by Thibaut Courtois, who denied Kamory Doumbia when he tried to score. Kylian Mbappé had attempts but missed too, and Antonio Rüdiger and Aurélien Tchouaméni received cards for fouling. Despite this attack from Brest, possession remained with Real Madrid, who came in at halftime with their heads in the air after two additional minutes, still leading.

Second Half: Real Madrid Seals Dominant 3-0 Victory Over Brest

Madrid won in a big 3-0 decision against Brest. Their goals were scored by Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham in the second half. Already on his way to the goal in a 1-1 at the 114th minute, Rodrygo returned double time for Madrid in a rush with a Lucas Vázquez pass. The assistant referee of the match Antonin Eveno upheld the decision of VAR, and it was Ludovic Ajorque’s 60th-minute goal that kept Brest’s hope alive for a few moments. Rodrygo wrapped it up in the 78th minute, scoring from the middle of the box right after a keeper saved Kylian Mbappé’s shot. Brest had a point when going forward that was chased away by Courtois. Substitutions were made by Madrid: young star Endrick was brought on. Minutes that followed were well managed with the match ending just in time with 4 additional minutes Real Madrid reached the last victory in a row in the Champions League.
