Cyprus Eagles play Black Caps in the 55th Match of the European Cricket Series (ECS) Cyprus T10 at the Ypsonas Cricket Ground in Limassol, Cyprus on Friday at 9:30 PM (IST).
Cyprus Eagles are coming on the back of consecutive wins against Nicosia Tigers in their previous two games. Both the victories were comprehensive, by margins of seven wickets and six wickets. In the last match, they were set a target of 94. Manikanta Ranimekala picked up two wickets. Jawad Shah once again stood out with the bat, as he led the force in the chase. Shah slammed a 23-ball 48 before he was run out. In the end, Cyprus Eagles got over the line with five deliveries to spare.
Black Caps, meanwhile, have not the best of recent outings. They have lost both of their last two matches, against the Nicosia Tigers. The batters put up a decent effort in tne previous game to get to a total of 101/7. Pawandeep top-scored with 33. Their bowlers, however, were unable to defend the runs as the Tigers got home easily in 8.1 overs with all their wickets intact to register a massive 10-wicket win.
Both the Cyprus Eagles and Black Caps are considered to be two of the top teams in the competition. Cyprus Eagles will look to carry the winning run while the Black Caps are desperate for a win after consecutive defeats coming into this contest.
