Case registered against Koi… Mil Gaya actor Rajat Bedi for allegedly hitting a man by car

On September 6, 2021, when Koi… Mil Gaya actor Rajat Bedi was returning from work, his car hit a man and now, the victim is in critical condition. A 39-year-old resident of D N Nagar was hit by Rajat’s car and as per the family of the person, the actor admitted him at Cooper hospital and promised to help them. However, as per the family, Rajat left after some time. 

Reportedly, the DN Nagar resident was drunk while he was returning home from work. And he was in an inebriated state when, while crossing the road, Rajat’s car hit him resulting in injuries to the back of his head. Now, as per the latest reports, he is in critical condition and a case has also been registered against the actor. 

Mid-Day quoted the victim’s wife as saying, “The incident occurred at 6.30 pm when my husband was returning from work and he was drunk. Actor Rajat Bedi, who was driving his car with license number MH 02 CD 4809, hit my husband when he was crossing the road. He fell down, sustaining injuries to the back of his head.”

While interacting with the portal, Senior Inspector at D N Nagar police station Milind Kurde also shared that an FIR has been registered against actor Rajat under relevant Sections of the IPC and Motor Vehicles Act. Now, as per the latest reports, the FIR has been registered under IPC sections 279 and 338. 

A Cooper hospital doctor, who is treating the victim, informed that the victim’s condition is too critical, as he sustained head injuries and he is in the ICU and on oxygen support. The doctor also informed that the victim urgently needs blood.

When Rajat took the man to the hospital, the staff informed his family and they rushed to the hospital. His wife informed that Rajat told them that while he was returning from work, the man suddenly came in front of his car. Rajat assured them that he will provide help to the family but left and “never came back.”

“The DN Nagar police also visited the hospital, but they didn’t catch Bedi. If anything happens to my husband, Bedi will be responsible. He should be arrested,” the wife said.
