South Korean boy band  Bangtan Sonyeondan, popularly known as BTS, is arguably the most famous pop group in the world right now. The K-pop group’s members – Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – enjoy a huge following worldwide and have an ARMY of fans, quite literally.

The members of BTS have paparazzi following them everywhere they go. Even one glimpse of the pop stars causes a frenzy among their fans. And, the septet has time and again expressed their love and gratitude towards the ARMY. From winning speeches to concerts, they don’t leave a single chance to show their appreciation.

Recently, BTS member V took to his social media to thank his fans for giving him privacy and respecting his personal space during his visit to Hawaii. “Thank you ARMY for pretending not to know and being considerate so that I can travel more comfortably in Hawaii and the airport (purpler heart emoji) love you,”

This comes days after the supergroup announced that they are taking an “extended period of rest”. This is their first break since the 2019 hiatus. The band’s management company released an official statement on Twitter and said that this will help them get “re-inspired and recharge with creative energy”.

“BTS is planning to take a second official extended period of rest since their first in 2019 after they complete their official scheduled events of BTS Permission To Dance On Stage- LA and the 2021 Jingle Ball Tour,” Big Hit Music shared on Twitter.

“BTS stayed active in order to engage with fans in 2020 and 2021 amidst the COVID-19 situation, and achieved dazzling results to cement themselves as top global artists,” it read.

The K-pop stars will spend the holiday season with their families. This is the first time they will get to do this since their debut in 2013, the statement said. “This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy,” it added.

Recently, the Bulletproof Boy Scouts won the favourite pop duo/group and favourite pop song at the American Music Awards. They also took home the artist of the year trophy. BTS has been nominated for best pop duo/group performance for their single Butter at the 2022 Grammy Award.
