BTS Reunion Is Almost Here! RM, V, Jungkook & Jimin Near Military Discharge; What Fans Need To Know

The long awaited BTS reunion is nearly here. With RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin just days away from completing their military service, BIGHIT MUSIC has issued an official statement on June 5, giving fans update on what to expect from their return.

Instead of being discharged straight from their military bases, the members will have private, low-key moments at different locations to say a quick hello to staff and a few people close to them. These small, closed meetings are only for staff and a few people, giving the members time to reflect on their military experience and hint at what’s next. The agency made it clear these won’t be public celebrations.

RM and V, who joined the military in December 2023 but served in different units, will be discharged in Chuncheon. Jimin and Jungkook, who served together, will be in Yeoncheon for their discharge.

BigHit clarified, “Rather than at their respective bases, they will deliver brief messages and share their thoughts on being discharged at separate designated locations.” The agency further stated, “There are no official ceremonies planned at the bases, and the roads and infrastructure cannot support large crowds. We kindly request your understanding and cooperation. ”

While everyone’s super eager, BigHit and HYBE haven’t announced any immediate plans for a big reunion like the one Jin had when he returned. The group’s comeback will likely be planned carefully in phases. Since all members finished their solo projects before joining the military, a full group comeback probably won’t happen right away. There are rumors about Jungkook going on a world tour, but nothing’s confirmed yet.

J-Hope revealed that he will perform at BTS Festa 2025 celebrations on June 13 and 14 at Goyang Stadium. He took to Weverse to perform interact with BTS ARMY and said, “Most of the members will be discharged by then. I think FESTA will be extremely meaningful this year. It’s our debut day. I think on that day I will be emotional. We planned it this way, and after many discussions, we wanted to do this with many ARMYs. Now we’ll have a FESTA that has Bangtan in it. Finally! It’s a big concert and it’s important to me. I’m going to prepare a lot. It is the final, after all!”

Talking about reuniting with other members, he said, “It’ll be hard to believe, as it’s been so long. Our last activities were in 2022, so three or four years will have passed by the time we reunite. It seems like the fans are eagerly waiting. I am wondering what the energy will be like once we’re back together. What will be different is that we will each have had solo experiences before coming back together as a team. So, I’m looking forward to it.”

Jin and J-Hope have already been discharged from their service and SUGA, who serves in the public sector due to a shoulder injury, is expected to complete his duty on June 21, finally reuniting all seven members for the first time since 2022.
