A bomb threat was received at Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s office and the Cliff House on Monday morning. The bomb squad is currently conducting a search in both premises, located in Thiruvananthapuram. Following the threat, the city is under high alert with sniffer dogs and specialised teams in place.

Earlier this morning, Kochi International Airport also received a bomb threat. According to reports, the sender sent the threatening message via email, prompting swift action by the Kerala Police. The authorities have cordoned off the affected areas, and a thorough probe is underway. However, Police have not found any explosives or anything suspicious at either location.

The targeted threats at several key locations come just a few days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on May 2. The bomb threat at CM Pinarayi’s office and Cliff house is the latest in the row. The incident follows a similar event on Sunday, April 27, when Thiruvananthapuram International Airport received a bomb threat. Shortly after, bomb disposal teams were deployed to the spot to inspect all the airport terminals.
