BJP’s Jan Ashirvad Yatra: Mumbai Police files 19 FIRs against party workers and volunteers

Police have filed 19 FIRs in different police stations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and volunteers for taking out ‘Jan Ashirvad Yatra’ when there was COVID protocol under observation in the state.

The FIRs have been registered at Azad Maidan (1), Gamdevi (1), Agripada (3), Sion (2), Kaladjwoky (1), Mahim (3), Shivaji Park (1), Dadar (1), Chembur (1), Govandi (2), Vile Parle (1), Kherwadi (1), Airport (1) under Section 188 IPC, Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act and Section 135 of the Bombay Police Act.

In Mumbai, Central Minister Narayan Rane is undertaking Jan Ashrivad Yatra in the city where he is meeting people and taking the work of the Modi Govt to them. FIRs have been registered under section IPC 188, 51 of NDMA and 135 of BP act.

BJP leader Ram Kadam has slammed the state government for filling the 19 FIRs against BJP’s Jan Ashirvad Yatra. “People are angry on this Mahavikas Aghadi Government, People are coming forward in large numbers and meeting Central Minister Narayan Rane. This Government is scared of the response which Jan Ashrivad Yatra is getting, hence they registered FIRs against us.”

Minister Ashok Chavan while speaking with reporters at Mantralay said, “When elections come mear such kind of events leader organised it, it is nothing but part of politics.”

Along with Minister Narayan Rane, another state minister, Kapil Patil, who was also inducted recently into the Modi Government had also taken similar rallies in different parts of the Navi Mumbai. as per local police, two different FIRs have been filed against his rally organisers for flouting rules of COVID. BJP is using this opportunity to reach out to maximum people to tell them how Modi Govt is doing work for people and how State Govt has failed completely.
