BJP stands for ‘Jandhan, Aadhaar and Mobile’ but SP is for ‘Jinnah, Azam Khan and Mukhtar Ansari’: Amit Shah

In a blistering attack on the Samajwadi Party and its supremo Akhilesh Yadav, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that while the BJP stands for ‘Jandhan, Aadhaar and Mobile’, the SP is for ‘Jinnah, Azam Khan and Mukhtar Ansari’.

Attacking Akhilesh for glorifying the founder of Pakistan, Shah said that as polls approach, the SP chief is seeing a great person in Jinnah.

Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks stirred a major controversy with UP Minister Anand Swarup saying that he may even convert to Islam to appease Muslims.

‘Yogi Adityanath has freed Purvanchal of mosquitoes and mafias’

Addressing a rally in Hardoi, Yadav had said, “Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Jinnah, they all came out of the same institution. They all studied at the same institute, they became barristers and gave freedom.”

The Home Minister also heaped praises on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for taking strict action against the mafia in the state.

‘Mafia raj’ ended under Yogi Adityanath, the Home Minister said and also lauded the CM for ending casteism, nepotism and appeasement and improving the state’s economy.

Before 2015, UP’s economy was 6th in the country and today is ranked number 2, Shah said.

‘Azamgarh was known for radicalisation when Akhilesh Yadav was CM’

The Union Home Minister gave this statement while addressing a rally in Azamgarh, which is Akhilesh Yadav’s Lok Sabha constituency.

Saying that Azamgarh has witnessed transformation under the BJP government, Shah targeted the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) government saying that earlier the district was known for radicalisation when Akhilesh Yadav was the CM but now it will be known for education.

He further suggested that the CM should name the university being built in the district after Maharaja Suheldev.

After taking charge as the Chief Minister of UP on March 19, 2017, the Yogi government has seized illegal assets worth about Rs 1000 crore of more than 40 mafias.
