Bigg Boss 18 House Tour: From Cave-Like Bedroom To Vast Sculptures, See How Theme ‘Time Ka Taandav’ Came To Life

‘Bigg Boss 18’ has been hitting the headlines ever since its announcement and has created a huge hype before its grand premiere. One of the biggest attractions of the show has always been its massive house with unique designs. Every year, the makers announce a new theme for the show and the interior of the Bigg Boss house is built according to the theme. In ‘Bigg Boss 18’, the theme is ‘Time Ka Taandav’ and the house will take the contestants and the show’s viewers to ancient timelines.

Ahead of the premiere of ‘Bigg Boss 18’, take a look at how the theme ‘Time Ka Taandav’ has come to life this season.

Living Room:

The living room, where all the contestants will sit together to interact with Salman Khan, has been designed the inside of a fort. Like the previous season, it has one huge sofa for all the contestants to sit on and is facing a television screen.

Kitchen:

The kitchen has always been a big attraction of the house and it is also the place where several memorable fights took place. It is designed like a cave and is decorated with several antique-looking vases and pots. Even the cabinets and refrigerator have cave walls made on them.

Jail:

Jail is introduced once again in ‘Bigg Boss’ and this is the place where the contestants are sent for punishment. It has also been designed like the inside of a cave but it shows a glimpse of the Stone Age era. Near the jail, there is a grand but cracked sculpture of a face. Several tables and chairs have been placed in front of this sculpture.

Entrance:

The entrance of the ‘Bigg Boss 18’ house has been built like a majestic fort with beautiful and detailed carvings being made on it. There will be several hidden doors and secret entrances this season.

Bathroom:

According to The Indian Express, the theme of the bathroom is inspired by a Turkish hammam. The entrance has a massive horse built to create a space for sitting.

While speaking to The Indian Express, art director Omnung Kumar revealed why he decided to give Indian touch to the Bigg Boss house. He shared, “This year we decided to do something Indian because it has not been done for a long time. One specification the creative team had was that they wanted levels in the house. India is so beautiful and we hadn’t tapped into that, so we did that. The entrance is a tribute to the pre-historic era. This year is about the claustrophobia of the cave. Everything is muted in terms of colours, but it will eat you up later on. There are hidden entrances, and secret doors in the house. The best part is that the house will be confusing initially for the contestants.”

He also revealed that he always go overboard with the budget given to him. He said, “It’s always a fight. We know what the budget is, but I always go overboard. The budget goes for a toss, my office keeps calling, but then I believe that the name matters. When Vanita and I go to shop, we go overboard, but then we have to balance it out. Then we channel ourselves as to where should the money be seen and how much time it takes. Are we doing night shifts? That’s where the money goes because 100-200 people are working. So we have to be smart about what should be seen and what shouldn’t.”

‘Bigg Boss 18’ will premiere on Colors TV or JioCinema on October 6, 2024 at 9 PM.
