BIG warning from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Donald Trump on Chabahar Port: ‘India ties…’

Rising tensions between the United States and Iran have fuelled speculation over India’s crucial investment in the Chabahar Port. The exemption from US sanctions will come to an end on April 26, and if the United States does not extend the date, it could pose a major risk for Indian investors. However, India is in touch with the United States to protect its interests.

Meanwhile, an Iranian official termed relations with India as inseparable, saying that no nation can harm ties between India and Iran.

‘Chabahar key to India-Iran ties’

Iran’s National Security Commission member Salar Velayatmadar called the Chabahar Port crucial for both India and Iran. He alleged that US President Donald Trump is pushing instability across the world.

‘US President’s actions are not dignified’

While talking to RT, Velayatmadar said, “Global conditions are not in a good state, and the US President’s actions are certainly not dignified. He has pushed nations into uncertainty, and those nations are facing a crisis. Our friendly nation India is also affected.”

‘Mutual interests drive India’s Chabahar investment’

The Iranian official said that both nations share historical relations and also share similarities in language, culture and traditions. He said no one can harm India-Iran relations. Velayatmadar said the agreement on India’s investment in Chabahar was finalised to protect their mutual interests.

No change in India-Iran relations: Velayatmadar

Velayatmadar hailed India’s remarks made recently on protecting its interests in the Chabahar Port. He said Indian officials understand that the actions of enemies and provocative moves by rivals should not affect the agreement, adding that nothing has changed in the relationship between the two nations. On recent protests in Iran, he said foreign elements had conspired, but normalcy has now returned.

Iran’s statements came amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington. Tehran has said that it will chop off the hands that threaten its nation. On the other hand, Donald Trump said Iran would be wiped out if it attempts to kill him.
