A big relief for the commuters travelling from Delhi to Gurugram, as the much-awaited tunnel linking Dwarka Expressway to the Delhi Airport is likely to open by the end of May. Once this tunnel is operational, traffic pressure will be eased on National Highway 48 and the roads connecting the two cities. The tunnel is constructed using advanced technology. Apart from this it also has modern safety infrastructure, as per media reports.

About The Dwarka Tunnel

The length of the tunnel is 3.6 kilometers and it will have 8 lanes. Once this tunnel gets operational then it will benefit the following regions-Gurugram, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, and Alipur. It will solve the traffic-related issue and make the journey smoother.,

Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh Shared Update On The Project

Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh shared the update on the tunnel project. He mentioned, “Various projects underway on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway and other topics were discussed with the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in the presence of officials, and Shri Gadkari ji gave orders to implement them.” After the meeting, he confirmed that the tunnel’s work is near completion.

The talk between the two ministers includes the proposed construction of an elevated route connecting Dhaula Kuan to Manesar.
