BIG BLOW For KKR Ahead Of RCB Clash! Moeen Ali Out Of The IPL 2025 Due To This Reason

The second half of the IPL 2025 will start on May 17. An important encounter will be played between RCB and KKR at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. This encounter is very important for Kolkata Knight Riders since a loss against them will confirm their elimination from the playoff contention.

On top of their woes, the side has got another big blow as Moeen Ali has been declared out of the rest of the matches, one who might have played a vital role for the team.

Moeen Ali to Miss Remaining IPL Matches

KKR all-rounder Moeen Ali will not be coming back for the remainder of the IPL season. He has pulled out of the competition for personal reasons, a report from ESPN Cricinfo states. Moeen has played six games this season, taking six wickets at 8.50 runs an over. His absence is likely to be a big blow for KKR as they battle to remain in playoff reckoning.

Playoffs Doubt for KKR

Having won the tournament last season with Shreyas Iyer leading them, KKR’s chances of making it to the playoffs this season seem bleak. The team has so far played 12 matches and has won 5, lost 6, and had 1 abandoned. They have only two more matches left to play, and a single loss will eliminate them from playoff contention. KKR’s next two games are against RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team currently lies sixth on the table.
