Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has broken several records since its release. From becoming his best-performing project to entering Kartik Aaryan into the 200 crore club, the third installment of the popular franchise has brought Kartik new stardom. The increasing collections are adding new feathers to his cap every day.

The film, which has collected a total of Rs 212 crore as reported by Sacnilk, surpassed the day 13 collection of Singham Again, beating Ajay Devgn’s starrer once again. On day 13, which was the second Wednesday after the film’s release, Singham Again managed to collect Rs 3.1 crore, whereas Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 collected Rs 3.85 crore. Although the margin is not wide, it’s a success for Kartik, considering he is relatively new in the film industry and is testing waters.

Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had minted Rs 184.32 crore in its lifetime. The film also brought back audiences to theaters after the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why fans had high expectations from the third film, and it delivered well.

The third installment of Singham was also one of the most anticipated films of the year. Meeting the makers’ expectations, fans thronged theaters on Day 1 for both projects. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 collected Rs 35.5 crore, Singham Again made Rs 43.5 crore. It was followed by a successful weekend.

On Saturday, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 saw a growth of 4% and made Rs 37 crore, whereas Singham Again’s performance dipped by 2% and it made Rs 35.5 crore. On Sunday, the collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again were Rs 33.5 crore and Rs 37.5 crore, respectively.

Singham managed to gain the audience’s attention due to its stellar cast, comprising Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Tiger Shroff, along with cameos by superstar Salman Khan. However, the response was rather underwhelming. The film was expected to perform better than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, considering that 60% of the total screens were given to it. The new numbers show that both movies are on the same level when it comes to commercial success.

Ajay expressed happiness over Singham Again’s success and said, “I am thankful to the audience for giving us so much love. For a long time, the police were always shown in a negative light in films. Singham, as well as Gangaajal, was one of the first films that showed how an ideal police officer should be. After that, it became a trend of making positive films about police.”
