BCCI Central Contract 2025: Will Suryakumar Yadav Retain His A-Grade – His Recent Form Raises Questions

The Board of Control Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce the new Central Contract for this year’s tenure. With new contracts, new roles along with salary raise will also be presented to new and existing players. Apart from this, the A-Listers will mostly be retained but there is one player who’s position is at it’s stake. The player is none other than Team India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

SKY’s Form A Big Concern

In recent T20I matches, SKY’s form has been in spotlight with low scores. Despite of this, he is leading the side brilliantly. The main question still remains “will Suryakumar Yadav retain his place in A-Grade?”, the answer is YES.

With his brilliant captaincy in T20Is and now he only plays T20-Format, BCCI will surely retain his place in A-Grade.

Who Are In The A-Grade In Current Contract?

In the current BCCI Central Contract, there are 6 players in the list with the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin (Retired), Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya. From this current contract, players might even get promoted from this list or even might get demoted.

Players Who Could Be Promoted To A-Grade

Axar Patel: The spin-all rounder Axar Patel is having a great period with the bat as well as with the ball in all forms of the game. His brilliant performances in both ICC events (T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy) showed his caliber on big stage. Patel who is in Grade-B has a chance to get promoted to Grade-A.

Kuldeep Yadav: The “Chinaman” bowler, Kuldeep Yadav’s resurgence is also one of the talking points in cricket. Kuldeep’s form played an important role in Team India’s conquest in both ICC tournaments. This time he has a chance to get promoted to Grade-A.

The Current Central Contract
