Bayern Munich Take First-Leg Advantage As Kane And Olise Shine Against Celtic

Bayern Munich won the first leg of their Champions League clash with Celtic in Glasgow by 2-1. Michael Olise and Harry Kane’s goals lead them to their victory and setting an aggregate of 2-1. Even though Bayer Munich dominated the match, their lead was taken away in the second half when Daizen Maeda was able to score an equalizing score for Celtic. Joshua Kimmich reveled about the talked he had with Kane about changes at half time, which led to Kane’s key header goal. Kimmich said, “Glad it worked,” as Bayern took the lead.

Kane’s Tactical Insight Helps Bayern Secure Crucial Goal

Bayern Munich was able to pull a strong start in the match against Celtic but started loosing their grip on the game in the final third but later in the last minute of the first half took the grip in their hands again. Joshua Kimmich revealed that during the half time, he had a talk with Kane, in which Kane pointed out about the fact that Celtic were leaving him unmarked at the far post during corners. Seeing this, Kimmich made a key pass in the second half. Kane took it and scored, pushing Bayern ahead. This change was key to their 2-1 win in the Champions League match.

Kimmich On Kane’s Advice And Bayern’s Next Challenge

In a recent talk with the media Kimmich that “Harry [Kane] told me at half-time to take the corners towards the far post because he was relatively free there. I’m happy it worked and we got a goal.” Now that the Bayern has a aggregated lead of 2-1. They go to the Allianz Arena next. The next match will happen on 18th Feb and the main goal of both the teams will be to secure a spot in the round of 16 of Champions League.
