This Friday marked a thrilling box office clash between two sequels, Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2. As moviegoers filled theatres, reactions poured onto social media platform X, offering a peek into how these highly anticipated films are performing.

The response for Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ hasn’t been too promising. Early audience reactions to X suggest that the film has largely received mixed to negative reviews.

See what the netizens have to say:

About Son Of Sardaar 2:

Apart from Ajay Devgn, the movie also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles. ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ also features the late actor Mukul Dev, who passed away on May 23, 2025, a few months before the release of his movie. The first part of ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ was released in 2012 and also starred Sonakshi Sinha, Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Dutt.

Early estimates from Pinkvilla suggest a moderate start, with Day 1 collections expected to fall between Rs 6.25 crore to Rs 6.75 crore.

Meanwhile, Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, seems to have struck a stronger chord with viewers.

About Dhadak 2

Dhadak 2 explores themes of caste and social discrimination. It is a love story between two law students. But their relationship is tested as they face many problems that try to pull them apart. Produced by Dharma Productions, the romantic drama is forecasted to collect between Rs 3.75 crore to Rs 4.25 crore on its opening day. The film is a spiritual successor to the 2018 romantic drama Dhadak, which originally launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.

The film also features Vipin Sharma, Manjiri Pupala, Deeksha Joshi, Priyank Tiwari, Amit Jaat, Mayank Khanna, and Ashwant Lodhi.
