Barcelona might get Jonathan Tah, a strong defender from Bayer Leverkusen. His contract with Bayer Leverkusen is ending so he will be available for a transfer. Man United wanted him, but now Barcelona is the favorite. Even though Barcelona already has good defenders, they seem to want Tah to make their team even stronger. So, it looks like Tah might be playing for Barcelona soon!

Barca Leading Race For Jonathan Tah Despite Premier League Interest

As per TBR Football, Barcelona now “leads the race” to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s defender Jonathan Tah. The 29-year-old has caught the eye of many clubs. Though the winter transfer window just ended, “things will likely speed up soon.” Man United was seen as the main contender at first. But other English clubs like Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and West Ham—have also asked about him. Tah needs to decide his next move soon.

Hansi Flick Pushing For Tah As Barca Move Nears

Germany’s Jonathan Tah is close to a move to Spain. His fellow German, Hansi Flick, wants him at Barca to boost their defense. Last summer, Flick tried hard to get him, but it didn’t work out. Now, he’s keen on sealing the deal. This is bad news for Ruben Amorim, whose plans to rebuild his team could be limited due to money worries.

Barca Poised To Land Tah As Man United Miss Out

Jonathan Tah would have been a great fit for Man United’s weak defense. Getting him for free could have been a good start for their summer deals. But now, the German defender looks set to join Barcelona. He will join striker Jonathan David, who is also “expected to make the same move.” Tah has been strong for Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen this season. He played 20 games in the Bundesliga and scored two goals with one assist.
