Barca is working hard to extend the contracts of their key players. In addition to securing long-term commitments from young emerging talents such as Pedri, Gavi and Ronald Araújo, contracts for the senior players are the next priority for the club. As per Mundo Deportivo, Sporting Director Deco has three heavyweights on his to-do list: Raphinha, Yamal and Jules Koundé. Hand in glove with the uniforms and track suits this season, Barca are determined to consolidate. And in so doing build for the future, they are contemplating more new long-term contracts.

Barca Prioritizes Contract Renewals For Rising Stars Yamal And Raphinha

Barca has expressed their strong interest in renewing the contracts of their young stars like Yamal and Raphinha to ensure their long-term commitment to the club. Yamal stands as a primary focus for the club which has secured a deal with his agent Jorge Mendes to extend his contract until 2030 upon reaching age 18 in July. The agreement requires potential modifications because it was executed during his minority status. Raphinha’s performances have been remarkable yet his existing contract which runs until 2027 fails to match his €80 million market value in terms of wages. Due to his critical role under Flick’s management, Barcelona contemplates a contract extension for him spanning two to three years.

Barca Prioritizes Contract Renewals To Secure Long-Term Stability

Barca is looking forward to achieve lasting stability through the renewal of important player contracts, prioritizing Yamal, Raphinha, and Kounde. The extension of Yamal’s contract stands as a primary issue because although there exists an agreement to extend his deal until 2030 upon reaching 18 years of age, modifications might be necessary since it was originally signed during his minority. Raphinha’s performance under Flick stands out yet his salary fails to match his €80 million market worth leading Barcelona to contemplate a two to three-year contract extension. Kounde’s defensive work and synergy with Yamal make him essential even though his contract renewal isn’t the team’s top priority.
