The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) report for week 27 is finally out and this time, the TRP ratings of various shows across TV channels are worth noticing. In the top 5 shows that have received the highest ratings, there are some shows that have already been ruling the small screen, however, there are others that have climbed up the ladder in the last week.
It goes without saying that Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa still has the highest TRP ratings. The show, co-starring Sudhanshu Panday, is based on the Bengali series, titled Sreemoyee. The show received 3.9 ratings which are slightly more than the previous week’s ratings of 3.8. Currently, Anupamaa is the highest-rated serial of the year.
The next show that has grabbed the second spot is Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Mein. The romantic daily soap, too, has received slightly higher ratings than the previous week. In fact, the show has been attaining the second spot for more than a month now. After last week’s 3.0 ratings, Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Mein received 3.2 ratings.
Imlie has secured the third-highest ratings with 2.8. It stars Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Mayuri Deshmukh. The romantic show, too, has become a household name. In the fourth spot, it is quite surprising to see that after weeks of its ratings going down, especially due to the Aditya Narayan controversy, Indian Idol 12 has finally upped its game.
The show received 2.5 ratings along with Yeh Hai Chahatein. Indian Idol 12 is nearing the finale and recently, Ashish Kulkarni was eliminated. This invited netizens to troll the reality series since as per popular opinion, the audience wanted contestant Shanmukhapriya to be eliminated.
Taking the fifth spot is Kundali Bhagya with 2.4 ratings. Being one of the most-watched shows in India, Kundali Bhagya stars Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar as the lead pair.
Other TV programs that are featured in the top 10 list are Shilpa Shetty’s Super Dancer 4 with 2.4 ratings, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah with 2.4 ratings, Saathiya with 2.3 ratings and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with 2.2 ratings.
Madhuri Dixit’s Dance Deewane 3 has 2.0 ratings and Kumkum Bhagya has 1.7 ratings, a dip from last week’s. Besides this, Pandya Store, Udaariyaan, Barrister Babu, Choti Sarrdaarni, Sasural Simar Ka 2 and Molkki are in the top 20 list
