Bad News For Justin Trudeau As US Mulls Canada’s Exit From Five Eyes Alliance

It is certainly not good news for Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as his nation may be shown the door by the Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance.  US President Donald Trump’s close confidant and one of the advisers, Peter Navarro is in no mood to keep Canada in the alliance, the Financial Times Reports. The US President already expressed his wish for Canada. He wants the nation to be the 51st state of the US.

The Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance comprises the United States, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Established in 1941, it allows these countries to exchange intelligence through a multilayered agreement.

The Trump administration has planned a 25% tariff for the country, which will be imposed on time.

Meanwhile, Trudeau was caught on mic where he admitted that President Trump’s intention to absorb Canada is a ‘real thing’. Trudeau will step down on March 9.

Navarro is adamant that Canada must be removed from the alliance, and he has discussed the issue with Trump officials.

The report cited a former CIA official who apprised Five Eyes as “by far the most successful intelligence-sharing agreement” in the world. On the other hand, the report also mentioned that one official stated that Canada’s exit would be very dangerous.

Another former strategist Steve Bannon said that Canada must realize that Trump is not trolling or after Trudeau, but instead, he is in the mood to annex the nation.
