Recently, heavy rains lashed across the southern state of Andra pradesh. Tirupati, Tirumala, Nellore, Chittoor, and its surrounding areas were the worst affected areas. Thousands of people lost everything with their houses getting washed away. Many also died in this fatal floods.
Tollywood actor Prabhas on Tuesday announced a donation of Rs 1 crore to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Relief Fund to help those who are affected by the flood in the state.
BA Raju team, a notable PRO and producer from South film industry, shared the news and announced that Prabhas has contributed Rs 1 crores to the Andra flood victims. They took to their official twitter handle and said, “Rebel Star #Prabhas Donated Rupees 1 CRORE Towards “AP CM Relief Fund”for #AndhraPradesh flood victims @AndhraPradeshCM.”
During the devastating rains in Hyderabad and coronavirus-induced lockdowns in 2020, the Telugu film fraternity had come forward to help the needy. Whiile Prabhas had previously contributed Rs 50 lakh each to the governments of the twin Telugu states to help with Covid relief measures; he had given another Rs 3 crore to Prime Minister Relief Fund to help battle against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun respectively donated Rs 25 lakh to the CM Relief Fund. Jr NTR became the first celeb to announce a huge amount for flood relief measures in Andhra Pradesh.
On the work front, Prabhas is currently working on the upcoming big budget pan-Indian film Radhe Shyam. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead role. The film is set to release on January 14, 2022, during Sankranthi in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Radhe Shyam also features Bhagyashree, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Murli Sharma, Riddhi Kumar, Sasha Chettri and Sathyan, and many others in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, the actor recently wrapped up shooting for Om Raut’s Adipurush with Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon. Adipurush is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu languages. He has also part of KGF fame Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which has Shruti Haasan as the female lead role. Prabhas also has an untitled sci-fi film with director Nag Ashwin, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
