In the recent past, whenever a film was made with an unusual storyline, actor Ayushmann Khurrana was a part of it. Since his big Bollywood debut, Ayushmann has wooed the audience with his different on-screen characters and the actor also has many amazing ones coming up.

Recently, he featured in the second season of Arbaaz Khan’s show, Pinch by Arbaaz Khan, and candidly talked about many things. He also reacted to some comments made by netizens on him and his work.

On the show, he opened up about his film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and its successor, and said, “Do ki hai maine saavdhan wali. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which was based on erectile dysfunction… Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, based on a gay love story.”

After this, Arbaaz asked him if he prepped more while working on Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan because the viewers liked his work a lot> To this, Ayushmann said, “Haan nomination mila mujhe Filmfare mein uske liye. Preparation toh bas you have to read more about the LGBTQ community, unke baare mein jaan na zaroori hai. You have to empathise with them more than anything else. We tried to normalise it as much as possible through commercial cinema.”

(Loose translation: I got a Filmfare nomination for it. For preparation, you have to read more about  the LGBTQ community, know more about them)

Ayushmann then went on to read a few posts that netizens had shared in context to his movie. One user wrote, “I am a big fan of your, but I am not supporting you for this thought. We should not go against the nature.”

Replying to this, the actor said, “Ab tumhe kya pata kisi ki nature kya hai. Kisi ki nature vo hai, kisi ki nature vo hai. Sab kuch natural hai is duniya mein.“

(Loose translation: How do you know what’s the nature of a person? Different people have different nature. Everything is natural in this world)

Another user called Ayushmann “gay”. Giving it back to him, he said, “Ye in logo ke liye film hai sir ye. Actually, ye film jo hai inhi logo ke liye thi taaki inko ye sab normal lage. Jo jaisa chahta hai vaisi zindagi jeeye. Jo jaisa hai vaisa rahe. Ye aap logo ko dekhna zaroori hai ye film. I am all for gay rights, all for LGBTQ community. I think vo insan hai unko insano ki tarah treat kia jaana chahiye.”

(Loose translation: This film is for such people so that they feel it’s normal. People can live like they want to. It is important for such people to watch this film. They are humans and they should be treated that way)

On the work front, Ayushmann has many projects in the pipeline including Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Anek, and Doctor G
